The Orion-Tr Smart DC-DC non-isolated charger is a professional DC-DC adaptive three-stage charger with a built-in Bluetooth function.
It is designed for use in dual battery systems in vehicles or boats where a (smart) alternator and starter battery are used to charge the service battery.
The unit can be monitored and programmed via Bluetooth and controlled remotely via a remote on/off switch.
The charger is also equipped with an engine operation detection mechanism.
The Orion Tr-Smart charger can be used in 12V or 24V systems and is suitable for both lead acid and lithium batteries.
Models up to 400 W are available.
In addition, you can connect an unlimited number of units in parallel to increase output power.
It is suitable for use at high ambient temperatures, up to 55°C, and at full rated output power up to 40°C.
Any smartphone, tablet, or other devices can be used to monitor, change settings and update the charger when new software features are available.
Only install the VictronConnect app (compatible with both iOS and Android).

For lead-acid batteries, it is important that the absorption time is short during moderate discharges to avoid overcharging the battery.
After a deep discharge, the absorption time increases automatically to ensure the battery is fully charged.
Absorption time for lithium batteries is constant, 2 hours according to the default setting.
Or a constant output voltage can be selected.
A remote on/off switch or relay contact can be connected to the two-pole connector.
Or the H (right) terminal of the two-pole connector can be switched to the plus terminal of the battery, or the L (left) terminal of the two-pole connector can be switched to the minus terminal of the battery (or to the vehicle frame, for example).
All models are equipped with short circuit protection and can be wired in parallel to increase the output current.
There is no limit to the number of units that can be wired in parallel.
The output current is reduced at high ambient temperature.
