Solar lighting for terrace and garden

Outdoor house lighting

Paulina

It's not a marketing trick. Solar lights really don't even need a pinch of electricity. All they need is an ordinary, yet miraculous, ray of sunshine.

It is not a coincidence that we timed this article to the April date. Spring is exactly the time when we can look back on the winter season because all our energy bills will come in our mail. And we won't lie to each other, lately, we often open them with our stomachs tight. At the same time, spring is the perfect time of year to think about where we could save money. And because we have the help of an awesome combination of solar lighting and sunlight, it will be so easy.

Solar lights – saving money is not the only plus

Saving money is definitely not the only reason why you should get an outdoor solar light. Let's look at other reasons:

1)    Simple installation – no electrician, not even a skilled do-it-yourselfer, is needed to operate a solar light. Solar lights do not contain wires, cables, or any other complex components. Shortly, you simply choose the place where you want to place them and that's it.

2)    Functionality – the solar light only works when it is needed. During the day, it takes solar energy from the sun's rays (and collects it into a battery), and when it gets dark in the evening, it uses it (through the magical switching of diodes) to illuminate your garden or terrace. As a result, you won't pay a penny for lighting.

3)    They're green - solar lights are best friends with nature and the environment. You don't harm nature by using them. And that's not all! The fact that they are great with nature can also be seen in the fact that they do not harm each other. Solar lights show high resistance to the elements - water, sun, or wind.

4)    Initial costs – You could think that solar lights are expensive since they're such a miracle. But it's not like that. The prices of solar lights are really pleasant and the offer is very wide. You can see that for yourself here.

Resistance that deserves its own paragraph

A big plus of solar lights is their resistance to external influences. This is indicated in the lights by the so-called IP protection and two digits. The first number indicates protection against solid objects and materials, the second indicates protection against liquids (especially water). The abbreviation IP is made from the English phrase ingress protection. A simple rule applies here: the higher the number, the higher the protection. Solar lights excel in this aspect. You will always find information about the specific degree of protection for individual products on our website. If you want to find more information about IP protection, take a look here.

Novelty on our website – categorization of solar lights

With the expansion of our offer and for better clarity for you, our customers, we have newly divided the category of outdoor solar lights into several categories.

In the first one, you can take a look at the wide offer of solar wall lights. You will see classics here like this design light with a sensor,  but also less common pieces, such as this LED solar house number.

Solar lamps are not only a decoration for your garden. And there are many choices. From those that are cheap, like this one, to models that are well ahead of their production date, like this awesome piece.

Solar decorations will be the icing on the cake of your outdoor spaces. One tip from all of them is this beautiful decorative chain. And we also can't forget elegant lamps

The last category only has one product but it is definitely worth mentioning. It is a photovoltaic panel JUST with self-cleaning glass. For the real connoisseurs.

How to choose the right one?

You are still not sure even after we have shown you all categories of our solar lights? It doesn't matter, we will give you some advice on how not to step aside when choosing a solar light.

1)  Brightness – the classic applies: the more, the better. We are talking about the number of LED diodes, that determine the intensity of light. Consider the purpose for which you will want to use the solar light. For example, around the pool or on the driveway, it is advisable to place a light with multiple diodes. For safety reasons. On the contrary, fewer LED diodes are enough for a rock garden. Lumens are an indicator of luminosity. For soft and warm lighting, their value ranges from 15 - 35, and much brighter lighting is around 700 to 800 lumens.

2)   Endurance some solar lights can shine all evening and all night. If you need the solar light to work most of the night, be sure to monitor this parameter.

3)   Design – on our e-shop, solar lights in many shapes and designs are available. Match them with the atmosphere of your garden or terrace.

4)   Functions the light can react not only to the alternation of day and night but also to movement. In this case, a light with a sensor will come in handy. A typical example is at the front door of a house. And of course, some types also have smart functions, for example, connection to your mobile phone or smart apps.
